The 2nd Laugh for the Cure ® will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at the ACME Comedy Company in Downtown Minneapolis.

Tickets are $35 per person. Advance ticket purchase is recommended, as this event is sure to sell out!

  • 5:00 - 7:15pm:Doors open at 5:00pm for silent auction. All guests must be seated by 7:15.
  • 7:15 - 7:30pm:Komen Speaker, Sponsor Thank-Yous, Survivor Recognition
  • 7:30 - 9:30pm:Hilarious PG Comedy Show featuring two of the funniest comedians  touring today!
  • 7:30 - 9:30pm:Evening concludes with a check presentation to the Komen Minnesota  Affiliate.

Tim is a veteran headliner at over 100 comedy clubs nationwide including the Comedy Stop in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, Zanies, Funny Bones, Comedy Store and many more.  He has also been a featured performer at the Chicago Comedy Festival for the past 4 years. A $10,000 grand prize winner on ABC TV's "America's Funniest People", Tim has appeared in a recurring role on Fox TV's "Murder in Small Town X" as Mayor Emerson Bowden.  Other television credits include A&E, HBO, Showtime, TNN, PBS, and recently Fox Sports Net Profile Awards in Los Angeles and Chicago.

Feature Comedian: Chris Baker

Chris Baker’s 25 year entertainment career spans many areas: comedy, television, live performance, music, sports and theatre.  As a comedian, Chris has toured with great comics like Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, Jerry Seinfeld and many others.  For the last fifteen years, Chris has been a leading radio talk host.  Consistently rated among the top radio shows in Houston, "The Chris Baker Show" is not always about politics - it’s often about things "topical, relevant and entertaining" to the radio audience - things that happen in your life, things that you see, hear, touch, and things that you talk about with your friends.  Chris has been nominated as Radio & Records magazine's major market "Talk Host of the Year" for the past three years, he's won the March of Dimes "Air Award" as "Best Talk Host" in Houston, and has been named the Houston Radio Society's "Entertainer of the Year."
Chris Baker can currently be heard over Minnesota airwaves on 100.3 KTLK-FM, weekdays from 7am -11am.

Comedy Emcee: Miss Shannan

Miss Shannan is an on-air personality, actress and stand-up comedian here in The Twin Cities. She can be heard regularly on B96 radio. Shannan and her husband, Conor, are proud new parents of a baby boy name Dominic. Shannan is also a member of the Minnesota Vixen Women's Professional Football Team.


Celebrity Emcee: Rena Sarigianopoulos

Rena Sarigianopoulos is a reporter for KARE 11 News Sunrise and First Edition.  Rena came to KARE from Milwaukee where she spent four years as a weekend anchor and reporter.  She has also worked in Madison, Wisconsin, Dubuque, Iowa and Youngstown, Ohio. Rena is from Ohio, a graduate of Youngstown State University, and yes, she's Greek.  In her spare time Rena loves to bake, run and feed frozen peas to her pet fish "Sushi" and attempt to keep her cat "Skilo" out of trouble.


Laugh for the Cure® is an Affiliate Event of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Minnesota Affiliate. The Komen Minnesota Affiliate serves the residents of Minneapolis and surrounding counties. By focusing on breast health education and collaborating with local organizations, the Komen Minnesota Affiliate strives to save lives, improve breast health services and reach out to the underserved members of our community.
